Uzbekistan Agrees with Russia to Deploy NPP

The Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan executed an agreement to cooperate in a joint Project to deploy a nuclear power plant in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The execution ceremony was celebrated following talks between the Russian and Uzbek Prime Ministers.

The document was signed by Dmitry Medvedev, the head of the Russian cabinet, and Abdulla Aripov, the head of the Uzbek Government.

Additionally, the parties signed the minutes of the 19th meeting of the intergovernmental committee on economic cooperation.
